If you possess a desire to serve people, to build relationships with our customers and interest & knowledge in gardening,  consider applying for a Sales Associate position.  Give our customers the service and memorable shopping experience they have come to expect from Altum’s.  You are the face of Altum’s.  Help us support our brand promise by providing the creative solutions to our customers, inspiring them to try new things.  Help them to be successful, by providing the knowledge & tools they will need.  Since our busiest days are typically Saturday & Sunday,  weekends are required.

If you have the desire to install our unique & inspiring landscape projects, making our customers the envy of the neighborhood, we encourage you to apply for our Landscape Crew position.   We focus on quality products and the best service available.  We rely on hardworking, dedicated individuals to make it happen! Related experience in landscaping or lawn care is helpful.  Must maintain proper licensure, including a Chauffeur’s or CDL license if requested, and be able to operate all equipment.  Because contact with both employees and customers is a high priority in this position, communication skills are very important.

We need reliable & dedicated people in order to receive and make our merchandise available for our customers.  If you are able to work in a fast-pace, process-oriented environment, and are familiar with receiving practices, consider applying for a Receiving Support position.  Our largest asset is our is our   Inventory, and the focus of this position includes directing the receipt and processing of product through the store.  Must be able to operate equipment such as Bobcat w/tree boss, bucket or forks, Gator, golfcart, mower, blowers, and other power tools may be required.  Must be available to work weekends.

Help us provide our customers with inspiration and a memorable shopping experience-with your creative eye.  When new products arrive, we need people to display/restock in a manner that shows our customers how to use the products, and be successful.  Our Merchandising Support personnel provide assistance the merchandiser in achieving a consistent and unique visual image for the entire garden center.  This is achieved through product movement and care & maintenance of signage, displays and fixtures.  Attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks will be required.  If you have computer graphics skills, that is a BONUS!  Must be available to work weekends.

Do you love plants?  We need someone to give our plants TLC, so that our customers find the healthiest, freshest selection of unique plants here.  You might wish to apply for a Plant Care Support position.  Provide care to our plants including watering, fertilizing and other routine plant maintenance duties, to maintain the integrity of our plant products & display beds.  Related experience in horticulture, agriculture, or other similar field is helpful.  Attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks will be required.  Use & knowledge of equipment such irrigation, power blower, sprayer, golfcart/Gator and other means of moving product will be required. Weekends will also be required for this position.

Our Carryout staff is what makes the difference between a good shopping experience and a truly memorable one.  We like to exceed the expectations of our customers!  Help us provide our customers with the best shopping experience!  We offer the service of carrying items out to our customers’ vehicles, and loading their items for them.    This position requires the ability to lift,  and because of the close contact with customers, strong communication and customer service skills are also required. Must have weekend availability.   This is a great ‘first job’ experience too!

You are the face of Altum’s.  Our Cashier team is our first  & last impression to our customers.  This team’s high visibility demand people that not only ‘know’ customer service, but also ‘live it’!  Assist our customers in their gardening ventures, by  processing sales orders, providing them with printed information, promoting our products & services in a positive manner, and helping us to build relationships with customers.  If you have a heart for people, can work in a fast-paced environment, paying close attention to detail and accuracy-we want you on our team! All cashiers will be expected to work some weekend days.  Must have demonstrated computer experience, and be able to provide excellent customer service at all times.   This is a great ‘first job’ experience too!
